ebook #10 Reason for being in a Novus Spiritus Group

If you are a Novus Spiritus group member, what is your goal in belonging to that group? to become a Novitiate, just to learn, fellowship, etc. Please elaborate.

Being the Novus is the interest of Sylvia Browne philosophy.
My self I am a Noviatate, liaison for Novus and I hope to be a minister.
I find that this philosophy rings true within for me.
What I hope to accomplish by this is to advance in spirituality.
I am seeking and learning about all religions and meanings of words that was written in books everywhere so that I can understand more. I feel this way I can relate to why people beleive in the things they do, so that I can be more compassionate with their ways of life.

I too want to become a novitiate SamiJo. I'm already a reverend and though I don't preach in the typical way, it helps me to remember my goal, to help others see the truth.

I write sermons for another minister but havent delivered one yet..Still practising. Timing isnt for me right now.

Yes I have and once the person does a few things and sees it makes all the difference!

I hope to be a minister too. I am working on the JOS books to be a Noviatate. One of the reasons I am so drawn to Gnosticism and Novus is that I can question why something is the way it is. I do not have to take it at face value. I have found at times in my journey when I have questioned something it has caused a ripple effect of thought by many people.

I like your answer. You are very right, we can question and no one jumps down our throat and says, JUST BECAUSE that's what God wanted, or that's what Jesus said. I hate that from dogmatic religions.

I am seeker of the truth and the " Truth Has Set Me Free "

I am a very positive person ( I used to worry to much }

It's rare that I get nervous and if I do. I surround myself with Gods Tools

and Prayer. Won't last long after that the nerves will go away immediately.

It has raised my Spirituality like no other ... ( I was a Catholic before and that religion never did any to help me. ) ... I am talking about me personally.

And, because my Spirituality is raised I have psychic abilities that I never had as a Catholic Girl.

Novus Spiritus has helped be closer to God. And, with the " Truth I can help others "

Novus Spiritus has helped me with the " Secret " which have I been able to create. Validated by Sylvia & Francine. The Secret is the power we have with in to create.

Novus Spiritus has given me ... My God with in and with out !

Well Kelly you know personally why I am in my study group of one... I want my Novitiate.. and not for any reason other then I want it for me... I want to learn everything I can and I love being Gnostic and the way Sylvia teaches us and gets her philosophy through. well... and its not even her philosophy.. I mean she is led by God to teach us.. right??? love you all robin

Sonnia, I love your answers and your insight. You are right we do tend to become more psychic or gifted, or whatever anyone wants to call it when we become more spiritual, they go hand in hand, once we recognize God is within as well as without, we can't help but become more open and more accepting. You should be very proud of yourself, you have come a long way being a recovering Catholic

Yes I do know personally Robin, but I thank you for sharing for others to learn too. You and I will be meeting each other one day soon, I thought I should share that, apparently in TN, I don't know how I'm getting there or why, but I've seen you and I sipping mint juleps or some such silly green drink (probably margaritas) on the porch together and just being together. Not talking, because we don't need to, as you know, but just being together. It was just so right. Now I have no idea what Tony and Adam are doing, but I think they are off shooting pool together. Probably trying to show each other up. LOL Love you.

When I first got in a study group I joined because I wanted to be able to freely talk about Novus and Gnosticism and Sylvia without all the smirks and lame jokes etc. and talk to other people who felt the same way I do.
Now that I am a study group coordinator I find I am always looking for something neat to share with the group and I want to someday be able to get my Novitiate.

That is so cool Cathy. Good luck on your noviate, I hope to be there one day too. That's my goal. But like you say the benefits are you can talk freely and no one looks at you funny or turns away to chuckle or talk behind your back. And those comments they have to make wouldn't be so bad if they just made them to our faces so we could have a conversation about it, but most people are just too chicken and fearful of what they don't know. I love the freedom this group gives as well as other groups. I just hope soon to expand my group, I think I'm going to try to set up a Sylvia Browne book club and then see how people feel about joining Novus and becoming part of my study group. After all its still writing by Sylvia, but I think that way I can advertise it without the neighbors burning a cross in my front yard.
