Kelly. What does Gnosticism mean to me? Truth... Honesty... Love... Compassion... Freedom...
My life changed so much once I finally came to the realization that I am Gnostic. Once I discovered
Gnosticism I realized I have been Gnostic all my life I just didn't have a name to put to it. Everything fell into place and my eyes were opened. I felt relief because finally things made sense.
Why am I Gnostic? Because I am a very old soul and have lived enough lives to finally be able to understand where we are meant to be. I am proud to be Gnostic. I am proud to stand beside people such as all of you that are also Gnostic and have become a very dear family to me. Blessings... Robin

Gnosticism to me is to seek the truth.
To find things out for myself what rings true to me within.
To be open minded and never shut an idea out. Just because I dont believe it doesnt mean it doesn't ring true to others.
That there is duality in all things. that Jesus didnt die for our sins..For sins are just missing the mark. I dont beleive he died on the cross at all.
I do not believe that woman was made of dirt and a rib.
I believe that God all loving. omnipresent..
I believe that we have spirit guides.

Gnosticism is the way to the holy truth to me. Its the study of all religions and great spiritual knowledge in history.

Gnosticism feels right to me because it does not in any way limit my search for truth, its the opposite of dogma, i cannot accept a damning, hateful condemning God.

To me Gnosticism is freedom. Freedom from the confines of dogmatic religion, freedom to believe as I have for some time in a Mother God and Father God, freedom to believe that my Father is not vengeful and that Hell is right here on earth. Freedom to believe that there is no way to go but up and by doing my best to experience for Father, I am following my path decided before I came to this plane.

Why am I Gnostic: I can't think of any other way to be. I love to help others, I love other people, I find good in everything, in every situation I can find a silver lining. I am Gnostic because I can be, because I can make a choice and because it all makes sense to me.

Gnosticism is the greatest spiritual belief system that I have ever found true peace, happiness, understanding, and love within. (And trust me, I'm familiar with pretty much all of them! ) Of course my love for my newfound spirituality is aided by my sexuality, and by the fact that Gnosticism is the first honest, logical, and sensible spiritual beliefs that embraces me, as much as I have wanted to embrace spirituality.

I am a Gnostic simply because of all the logical and sense that it makes, without asking me to base my faith simply on others' interpretations, but to base my faith on MY interpretations of God. That it inspires and empowers me to be a true carrier of light, instead of being afraid, and being led to do as others believe to be the only right way.

Gnosticism is so logical isn't it Adam. I love that fact the most about it.

it is! i used to have major issues with being raised Baptist and Methodist, and being told, "the preacher knows what God means."
i used to ask, "WHY? Who made him God's messenger?!?!?"

from the first moment i learned about Gnosticism, i was so excited, because everything was SO logical and simple. at first, it seemed so simple, that it couldn't be right! but then i remembered that old cliche, "Keep it simple, stupid."

Gnosticism is seeking truth. I have always been that just not realizing that until I met Sylvia through her books. Gnosticism is not dogma which is made up mostly. Gnosticism lets me be me and you be you and enables us to find our own way but it is more fun to do it together! It is logical and simple down to earth makes sense. Dogma is complicated and most often not logical and doesn't make sense.I left home on Colorado since 1977 when I moved to in Chicago joining this gnostic christian community. I think the thing that is funny is I was in SF(1979-1990) when Sylvia started Novus in 1986 and had no idea that was going on. I was a Gnostic Christian in the same religious community in California but they had leanings to the fundies ie. you could be gay but no sex please. I was ok with that but eventually got over it as I was also in the process of coming out to myself sexually and then in about three to four years in 1990, I left it and went to Wash dc, next stop Rome Italy. I went from that back to Catholicism with a couple of side trips to the Eastern Orthodox faith when i came back in 1996 and moved to Atlanta GA because I felt I was seeking truth and to me I was. The dogma was breaking down gradually because it didn't make sense then finally after seeing the church would not accept me for a whole person I walked away in 1998.. I moved to Michigan in 1999 I found Adventures of a Psychic at work in 1999-2000 and came out gnostic realizing that I had walked along way from being only about 40 miles from when she started it all.. I had to laugh but i wasn't ready to shed the dogma.. When I did woke up and did shed the dogma, though I had gnostic beliefs which i knew were right along the way which I kept to myself, I found it! Yes sounds alot like the wizard of oz started seeking in midwest in 1977 in Chicago and ended up back about three hours away on the otherside of Lake Michigan in Grand rapids area and found Sylvia 1999-2000.. Azna was always there helping me through it all. Though I knew Her as Mary for a long time.

Jac.. it is really funny how we all seek truth that is right in our back yards all along.. all we had to do is look within ourselves... and BINGO.. there it was all the time. I keep picturing my SG with this bandage on his head from all the banging his head against a brick wall on TOS because I wasnt listening.

Jenn I don't see why that can't be a Gnostic quote, after all you are Gnostic and it fits within Gnostic beliefs, why not!

Oh yeah in your own back yard! That is what Jesus was saying Kingdom of God is within you.

HAHA I love watching that movie and believe it to...

I think Gnostic mean the freedom to not have to rely on all of the dogma that comes with other religions. Freedom to seek the truth without any restraints..It is simple and to the point..Nothing dogmatic in my way of learning and perfecting for God...
