What is your favorite Gnostic quote or phrase?

hmmm...let me think on that a while.
as far as the tenets go, I am fond of VII

"Tenet VII - Know that each life is a path winding towards perfection.
It is the step after step that is hard, not the whole of the journey."

and I "I - The way of all peace is to scale the mountain of self. Loving others makes the climb down easier. We see all things darkly until love lights the lamp of the soul."

Hey Jenn, can you elaborate as to why these are your favorite or explain them in your own words?

Well my favorite quote from the Novus Spiritus Tenets, would be:
XVI - Devote your life, your soul, your very existence to the service of God. For only there will you find meaning in life.

Simply because it reminds me that no matter what dreams and goals we hope to accomplish by coming back to this "hell hole," are our priorities, but our truest, main lesson to learn above all else, is that we are here to help as many people as we can. Not for our own sense of pride or self-worth, but because it's the best and easiest way to show our appreciation and love for Father and Mother God.

My other favorite Gnostic quote would be:
"There in your weakness, lies your strength sleeping." --Ada Coil, Sylvia's grandmother.

Simply because this reminds me that no matter what I may go through that's been charted by myself, I know that I have the strength to get through, and stand tall and proud at the end, and say, "I'm proud of me!"

I think it just helps me to realize that i have been here before, i survived, gonna survive this one.
and reminds me of what the big picture is. perfecting for God

This is my fav because it reminds us that we have the power within us to make life as happy or as sad as we want..Of course life's obsticles are there for us to learn but we don't have to dwell on everything..Enjoy life make the most possitive out of everything and that's it..
