As some of you know I LOVE James Taylor!!!!
But tonight I heard this song for the first time. I am NOT confused, I know it is almost Easter and not Christmas, but we are talking about the same dude LOL
Now i listened to a pastor say that James was just mearly recounting the story in the bible about the magi going home a different way to avoid trouble. but listen or read it with GNOSTIC ears and eyes and I think a different message comes through

Interesting.....
like not getting stuck in the ways of the earth, stick to the chart, do good,follow the light in you, but don't get sucked into thinking that the road to distractions is the way home. Go home by the light in you, give to others and don't give the responsibility for your soul's perfection over to false authority who say they can show you the way. Stand up for the truth that has always been in you and learn what you have been sent to learn and go home by the light in you.
