Chakra Therapy

The word "Chakra" is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. In addition, the Chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions, and much much more.

Dis-eases tend to point to the region of the body that is governed by that Chakra. This allows us to see where the energy is "stagnant". This energy is connected with our physical body through seven centers. These centers represent our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. When these centers are healthy and in balance, then we are the equivalent. Below is a brief description of each chakra.

"The Chakra are stations along the central axis of your being. Each one is a point at which energy can be expressed in a certain set of actions, attitudes and emotions. The Chakra are a map of the soul which you must move along for healing to happen." - Rudolph Balantine, MD.

Accessing Your Needs
In order to balance your energy points with color you first must access if your energy center points are balanced or unbalanced. Based on the Physical/Mental/Emotional attitudes causing the unbalance, you can access the most prominent color needed. This is why Holistic Healing seeks the metaphysical cause behind the physical problem.

•An underactive chakra is usually one in which the energy is blocked or congested. The energy does not flow freely through the physical system. If it is congested ,blocked, underactive, we lack the energy to perform our daily functions. An application of color can help to stimulate the chakra into a balanced state.

•An overactive chakra is one in which overstimulation occurs. There is too much energy being drawn in and out of the center, aggravating a specific condition. An application of the complementary or opposite color is used.

The general rule for the chakra: If the chakra is underactive, an application of its basic color is used. If the chakra is overactive, then the application of the complementary or opposite color is used.

I love this kind of info -
thanks for posting it.
You know, I wonder about blind folks
and what they can see
'cause you know some lose their eyesight
and some are born without ever seeing.
I get excited about what color can do
in relaxing or simply making you THINK
that .....well, if blind folks can hear better maybe
thier passion would be in one of the other senses
they posess...

So, someone who lost their sight or has partial sight can
still benefit from color therapy.
And one who has never known color should
absolutely focus on the other senses. It gets
complicated when none of the senses function, of course, Blessings.

I saw a local blind singer during a Seasons Greetings concert
and, as you know, by Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles blind folks who sing
put so much power into the projection of that voice
that it's true art to watch them live it.....

Awesome bitter-sweet..... Dove
